With increasing diagnosis of childhood developmental disorders it is becoming important for anyone involved with children to understand not only the range of disorders but how they may affect the child’s ability to interact with the world around them and more importantly how that interaction can be perceived as problematic and wrongly within the child’s control. This course aims to introduce the student to a range of selected disorders and examines the impact upon not only the sufferer but also their family and those around them.
This course is suitable for parents, teachers, caregivers of children with conditions such as:

3. Autism Spectrum Disorder 2
4. Other Pervasive Developmental Disorders (Rett’s Disorder, Childhood Disintegrative Disorder, Developmental Disorders NOS) signs, symptoms, treatment and support
5. Attention-Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorders – ADHD & variants, signs, symptoms, treatment and support
6. Conduct Disorders (Include oppositional defiant disorder) signs, symptoms, treatment and support
7. Learning Disorders – focus on academia (Mathematics, Reading Disorder – Dyslexia, etc.) signs, symptoms, treatment and support
