This online course is designed for students who want to learn Breeding, Feeding, Grooming, Skin care, Exercise & Behaviour of their pets. Students may choose two electives from a range of specialised modules including Animal Behaviour, Cat Psychology and Training, Dog Psychology and Training, Herpetology and Ornithology. Students wishing to start their own business are advised to choose Starting a Small Business as one of their elective.
There are 4 modules in this course:
1. Pet Care
This course provides a sound introduction to caring for a wide variety of different pets including dogs, cats, fish, birds, rabbits, rodents, reptiles and amphibians. Examined within the course are aspects of pet care such as ideal diets & food, care of coats, feathers, hair etc, enclosures such as tanks etc, care of litters and young animals and more.
2. Animal Health Care
This introductory course is designed to give you practical understanding of common veterinary nursing procedures. This course is suitable for anyone looking for a ‘foot in the door’ job with a veterinary clinic and who intends to go on and do further study, or even for those interested in basic animal care.
By studying this course, you will gain valuable experience in understanding many aspects of Animal Health Care. Careerline Courses recommends that any student interested in pursuing an animal care career engage in ongoing volunteer work to gain the necessary practical experience.
